While its effectiveness can be called into question, Square Enix’s efforts to market Final Fantasy XIII have certainly been of the more creative variety. Now after previous tie-ins with BRAVIA and Suntory, SE’s latest promotion comes in the form of a partnership with karaoke company Neway.
Neway is creating whole rooms themed around FFXIII and placing them in there various establishments throughout Hong Kong and South Korea (FFXIII having recently launched in both territories). Producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Motomu Toriyama even attended an event held to commemorate the rooms unveiling. Neway is also placing PS3’s and HDTV sets in the rooms, for those that get tired of singing.
Having the game on hand should make finding that perfect tune much easier.
