FFXIII figures are right on time

After originally announcing via their European newsletter that they wouldn’t arrive in time for Final Fantasy XIII’s International launch, Square-Enis has revealed that they’ll be releasing volume 1 of the FFXIII Play Arts Kai line on February 26.

The news is for residents of North America, so we’re actually still not sure about Europe. Seeing as how this is an online release though, it will likely be the same day or very soon afterward.

SE says the Play Arts Kai line has more deatail to its figures than regular Play Arts. Volume 1 consists of Lightning, Snow, and Vanille. Volume 2 includes Sazh, Fang, and Hope. The release date of the latter is still unknown. There will also be transforming figures of the Eidolons Shiva (both Nix and Styria) and Odin, the release dates for which also lay shrouded in mystery.

SE brought all the figures to the recent New York Toy Fair 2010 and also took the opportunity to show off a prototype figure of Serah Farron.
